• My BMI is about 37.8. I have alot of health issues that are related to my weight. I feel if I don't get something done I won't last to much longer.I'm 56 yrs. old and take 8 meds. daily. Plavix,Metformin 1000 x 2, Benicar Htc40/25, Actos 30m, Norvasc 10m, Tricor 145m, Glipizide xl 10m, Crestor 20m. I've had bypass surgery twice on my right leg and a stint in my left leg and I'm beginning to loose feeling in the lower parts of both my legs. I've tried to loose weight my whole life with no success

• Dr. Greene, I am a 25 year old preschool teacher and student. I am approximately 5'4 and weigh 227 pounds. I have been heavy all of my life, however 3 years ago I lost 40 pounds, but have put it back on plus an additional 15 pounds. My BMI is 39, so I am under 40, and my health is in ok condition, knee issues currently. Do you feel that I would be a good candidate for the Lap Band? Is it possible that my insurance would cover some? I am desperate to lose enough weight to get my energy back
