Acute Inpatient Treatment

Both the Seneca Unit and Potomac Unit at Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health Center provide inpatient care for adults whose acute symptoms require a safe and structured therapeutic environment for stabilization 24 hours a day. The treatment model includes an interdisciplinary team approach utilizing psychiatrists, social workers, case managers, psychiatric nurses, expressive therapists and mental health technicians who work with the individual and their family. The goal of treatment is to stabilize the patient's psychiatric symptoms such as depression or psychosis and to provide substance abuse education and treatment when necessary.
