Gift Recognition

Through the generosity of our supporters, the Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health System continues to provide the best behavioral healthcare and special education possible for our community. Such generosity sends a caring message of commitment to everyone who is diagnosed with mental illness. We view your gift as a statement of support that we will lead the way for generations to come. Therefore, in appreciation of these gifts, we have established several recognition opportunities

The Circle of Champions
The Circle of Champions recognizes those who give annual gifts of $100 or more to the Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health Foundation. A number of levels within this annual giving fund further recognize the contribution of our donors:

Founders: $100 to $999
Friends: $1,000 to $2,499
Advocates: $2,500 to $4,999
Hero's: $5,000 to $9,999

The Circle of Hope Society
The Circle of Hope Society recognizes cumulative giving to the Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health Foundation, and includes all contributions given to the Foundation throughout a donor's lifetime.

Benefactor: $10,000 to $24,999
Philanthropists: $25,000 to $99,999
Visionaries: $100,000 and above

The 1981 Society
The 1981 Society recognizes and honors individuals who have made provisions for planned, or deferred, gifts that will support the future of Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health. Qualifying gifts include bequests, charitable gift annuities, and charitable remainder trusts.

Naming Opportunities

“Every generation inherits a world it never made, and as it does so, it automatically becomes the trustee for those who come after.” (Robert F. Kennedy)

One of the best philanthropic traditions is “naming”. The impact of a “Naming Gift” lasts for generations. It is a gift that becomes a donor's legacy. Such gifts can be named after a person or persons, organization or corporation. Naming Gifts are subject to Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health System (PRBHS) and Foundation Board approval.

The Foundation gratefully recognizes these key gifts through photographs and press releases to the news media, in PRBHS/Foundation publications and newsletters, and commemorative plaques in appropriate facility settings. This naming plaque will be placed inside or adjacent to the entrance to the space or room named by the donor.

Examples:

  • "The John and Mary Smith Treatment Center for Adolescents"
  • "This Nurses' Station made possible through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. John Smith.
  • "The Expressive Therapy Program is dedicated to the memory of Laura Smith by Mr. and Mrs. John Smith" Note: Named Gift Opportunities will be awarded donors on a first come, first served basis.

There are special areas within the Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health System that are available for naming. Click here for a partial listing of naming opportunities.

If you have other areas of donation interest for naming, we would be delighted to speak with you about these possibilities. Please contact the Foundation at prbhfoundation@adventisthealthcare.com or phone 301-251-4677 or toll free at 1-800-204-8600 ext. 4677.
